Jan 19

Today was another good day.

We found out that Clara's PDA has closed with the medication (see diagram). This is a chance that it will open and then they will need to close with surgery. Keep your fingers crossed.

Tomorrow we find out if Jake's PDA has closed. The nurse reported that she in not hearing the murmur during the exams but they will verify with a heart echo tomorrow.

The both will get brain ultrasounds overnight to check if there is any bleeding. This is a standard test done during the first week and again after one month. Dr. Neal did warned us that they find some degree of bleeding in 1/3 of Premmie's. So again we have our fingers crossed.

Krystal and I have tried to get back to a normal routine (well the best of possible). Krystal is staying home for a few week and is going to get heathly and continue to prepare the nursery. She is already "cracking the whip" wanting to know why I have not finished the painting and the picket fence. I am a terrible husband and father.

I have gone back to work which has helped get my mind off of things. Thanks to all my co-worker's for covering for me and being there if I need an ear. Special thanks to Steve and Matt who both have gone thru this and now have healthy Premmies. Both have been very quick to give me advice on what to expect.

Cheers for now!
